This program provides students with opportunities to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to function effectively as front-line care-givers, and respected members of the healthcare team, in community and facility settings. Health Care Assistants (HCAs) are prepared to work in both healthcare facilities and community agencies.
Students will be eligible to apply for the HCA registration number approved by the BC Care Aide & Community Health Workers Registry upon completing this program. In addition, students are also able to start their paid 30-week Co-op Term within the program.
