Located in one of Canada’s most beautiful National Historic Sites – Vancouver Island’s Hatley Park – Royal Roads University is home to an extraordinary place of higher learning, both online and on campus. Our ocean-front campus is a National Historic Site with a castle — and a setting for more than a few feature films, such as X-Men and Deadpool. As part of the lands of the Xwsepsum (Esquimalt) and Lekwungen (Songhees) ancestors and families, our campus stretches over 560 acres of lush parklands. Our world-renowned gardens and hiking trails are free and open to everyone. Students study throughout the gardens. Research is conducted in living laboratories. Classes are indoors and out.
