Recently, Sprott Shaw Language College hosted a delegation from AMEREIAF, marking a significant event in international academic collaboration between Canada and Mexico. This visit celebrated global educational partnerships and included the graduation ceremony of the English for Finance Intensive Program.

Students from esteemed Mexican universities completed this rigorous program designed to enhance their English proficiency and finance skills. The universities represented were:

Distinguished Guests

Prominent figures, including representatives from AMEREIAF, Santander, the Mexican Ministry of Education, and the Consul General of Mexico in Vancouver, graced the event. Their presence highlighted the significance of this educational initiative and the enduring partnership between Canada and Mexico.

Strengthening International Ties

The AMEREIAF delegation engaged in productive meetings with Royal Roads University (RRU) and the British Columbia Council for International Education (BCCIE). These discussions aimed to identify common interests and establish collaborative agreements to facilitate international exchanges and professional development.

Intensive English for Finance Program

The program included 60 hours of lectures and 45 hours of individual work, focusing on real-world English communication skills in financial contexts. Conducted in Vancouver, participants applied their knowledge in real-life scenarios, interacting with Canadian university officials and academics entirely in English.

Looking Ahead

Leticia Jiménez Zamora, President of AMEREIAF A.C., announced plans to make this program an annual event, expanding international opportunities for members and university representatives, and fostering global competencies.
