St. Patrick’s Day Events in Vancouver ( + 19)Â
Happy St. Patricks Day!
Hey, would you like to try haggis? It’s a savoury Scottish pudding made of sheep guts. Well, too bad, because Robbie Burns Day—an annual celebration of Scottish culture—was in January. But the good news is that St. Patrick’s Day is coming up soon. St. Patrick’s Day is a celebration of Irish culture that happens every year on March 17th.
Multiculturalism is a way of life in Vancouver.
Vancouver is a multi-cultural city and there are events for all kinds of culturally important days, from Chinese New Year to Diwali. But neither of those two celebrations involve drinking lots of green beer and dressing up like a leprechaun. And that’s what makes St. Patrick’s Day special. Actually, there’s more to St. Patrick’s Day than green beer. Not much more, but here’s a list of some of the events happening around Vancouver for St. Patrick’s Day 2020 that you might want to get out and enjoy.

On March 17, everyone’s a little Irish
How about going outside and doing something healthy? No? Well, if you change your mind, there’s the St. Patrick’s Day 5k fun run in Stanley Park. Proceeds go to support Diabetes Canada.
If you want to take in some Irish culture, CelticFest has an evening of Irish music and dance on March 13.
